Norwegian software company Tero Marine, global provider of fleet management systems, has announced the appointment of Rune Lyngaas for the position as CEO. Lyngaas will assume responsibility for Tero Marine globally from January 1st 2020.
- Tero Marine has grown at an impressive pace the recent years, establishing itself as one of the leading fleet management software providers in the marine industry. The completeness of the portfolio as well as the company’s plans for further expansion is a journey that I want to contribute to. This was a challenge that I just couldn’t resist, says Lyngaas.
Rune Lyngaas is 44 years old and has for the past 7 years been employed by DNV GL, since 2015 as Head of Product Management for their maritime software. He will join the Tero Marine team in the Bergen office, overseeing that the company meets its ambitious goals for the next years. Lyngaas replaces Jarle Holmelid as CEO.
- Tero Marine has produced strong results the past years, with a 30% growth in revenue since 2017 and the establishment of a very profitable business model. Jarle Holmelid has been instrumental in achieving this but decided that he now wants to pursue other opportunities. In Rune Lyngaas we have found an excellent candidate to take the company further, says Roger Ringstad, Chairman of the Board. Ringstad is also Executive Chairman of Seagull, the major shareholder in Tero Marine.
