TM Master

TM Master ® is a Windows based Planned Maintenance and Spare Part Control System for Ship Management with the following main functions:

  • Equipment and Inventory control
  • Spare part stock control
  • Purchase and order processing
  • Maintenance planning with work order processing and reporting
  • Maintenance and service history, including conditions, reasons, symptoms, man-hours, free text- and standard forms-reporting
  • Analysis of maintenance history
  • Survey and certificate control

Introduction

TM Master is a user-friendly, well tested and flexible Planned Maintenance and Spare Part Control System, designed specifically for and in cooperation with Chief Engineers, Superintendents, and Classification Societies requirements.

The Basic Module is designed for Maintenance Schedules and Instructions, including Safety Inspections and Classification items, Maintenance Documentation, History and Non-conformity Reporting, Inventory and Spare Part Control, Address List, Order Processing, Search and Print functions.

The main product features are:

  • Maintenance planning with easy access to available spare parts, required manpower and tools, safety precautions and maintenance instructions
  • Free choice of maintenance reporting parameters as conditions, reasons and symptoms
  • Separate overview of unplanned routines and postponed activities
  • Two intervals available for each maintenance routine (e.g. every 2000 hours or once a year)

Maintenance Tasks & Schedules

The maintenance tasks assigned to any item of equipment are displayed by highlighting the equipment with the mouse and then selecting the JOBS key from the left toolbar. An information window appears which displays a short description of the jobs scheduled, job type, and the total running hours for the equipment to date. Jobs can be either scheduled by running hours, calendar, or both. A more detailed job description can be obtained by selecting the job and then clicking on the DETAILS key.

Each job is colour coded to indicate its maintenance status:
RED = Overdue
AMBER = Due now
GREEN = Due in future

History

History for any equipment can be retrieved by simply selecting the item from the tree and clicking the HISTORY key on the left toolbar.

Maintenance Due Search Specification

Calculations for maintenance due can be made simply by selecting the DUE key from the right toolbar. The following screen will appear. By selecting from the displayed criteria, a maintenance due listing can be generated. This can be sorted by date due, component or department.

Jobs are selected from this screen and signed out with the Job Done button. The following sign-out screen can then be completed.

Spare Part Control

Spares can be displayed simply by selecting the required equipment from the component listing and then choosing the SPARES button from the tool bar. The spares can easily be grouped into further subcomponents if applicable. The spares items can then be displayed together with their respective group headings as shown. As well as the part details, stock levels, stock on order and storage locations are displayed.

To withdraw a part from stock or select for ordering, it can be selected from the list and the details key pressed. The following screen will be presented, allowing these functions to be performed.

In this way, spares can be selected for ordering. From the right toolbar, selecting the ORDER key will display the following Order Processing Main Menu. From here, orders and requisitions can be created, printed, reviewed or received on board. In order to avoid any misunderstanding between vessel and head office, the system prompts for confirmation of the chosen method.

System requirements for running TM Master are a standard PC with minimum 233 MHz processor(recommend 300 MHz).
